Hello, Shiftters, how are you? I hope you\u2019re okay!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shall we follow the evolution of the proofs of concept? We can start with our first accelerated startup: Hedro.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hedro is an expert not only in the development of emerging technologies, but also in the integration of these technologies, powering the entire industrial environment. Thus, through the Industrial Internet of Things (IIOT), machines and humans can talk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This interaction seems like a science fiction movie script, right? Fortunately, technology has evolved and what was once a future scenario has become a reality and is known as Internet of Condition Monitoring (IoCM), which means obtaining real-time information on the condition of machines and equipment in the industrial environment. As such, managers and maintenance teams identify possible failures even before they happen. At the end of the day, what organizations gain by applying this type of technology is the reduction of unnecessary expenses with corrective maintenance or unplanned shutdowns, which greatly affect the results on a production line.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is in this scenario that we are running our acceleration with Hedro. Among the various benefits we have identified at Hedro, the main one is the ease of installing the sensors and the affordable cost.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By the way, in projects like this, the installation stage can be a great generator of delays, although this did not occur in our PoC.  I see that two factors have contributed to facilitate our journey: a good maintenance team engaged in the project, and the ease of installation of Hedro sensors and collectors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As the sensors are fixed by magnetism, simply touch the metal surface and you are done: the communication of the sensors is by Bluetooth to a collector which, in turn, can be installed on the electrical panel of the equipment to be monitored. In the end, we have a dashboard with real-time vibration data showing the condition of the equipment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Of course, in this innovation process, there are always risks involved. In our PoC, they were mapped and I will tell the two who were at the top of the list, as they could make it impossible to continue the proof of concept:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • sensor displacement due to vibration<\/li>
  • lack of communication sensor and collector by metal interference<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    But, to our relief…<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    In the first hours of the POC, the sensors and collectors proved to be very efficient in our productive environment. Roni S\u00e9rgio Viola, responsible for Tupy’s Maintenance area, shared his first perceptions and expectations with me:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \u201cOur process and equipment give the sensor a very critical condition, especially to high temperature, but my perception is that the sensor has performed its function well, which raises our expectations regarding the ease of performing our monitoring and improving our decision-making regarding failures.\u201d<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

    Another value generated is the digital adoption, because in the first week of installation the collected data were transformed into information through a dashboard provided by Hedro. In addition to being easy to configure, it is also customizable for the parameters we are looking to analyze. Thus, the managers of the monitored equipment can take action through the failures that have become visual.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    As the relationship between Tupy and Startup is one of learning for both, I will also share the point of view of Cassio Barbosa, Hedro’s CEO:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \u201cThe Proof of Concept with Tupy is giving us a great opportunity to receive direct feedback from users of our sensors and implement rapid and surgical improvements to our product. The people involved in the project are testing the H1.2 Sensors in several different environments, in conditions considered extreme for the operation of electronic devices. Consequently, they are broadening the boundaries of the possibilities of digitalization of machines and processes that H1.2 Sensors offer.\u201d<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
